Natalia Drabik is born in 1989 in Poland and works and lives in Paris.
Her practice centers the body as an over-coded form, where psyche and power intertwine.
The work pushes the body into presence through refusal and endurance. The pieces rather withhold than please.
She completed the Master Class at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2021. She was awarded The Missing Link by the Psychoanalytisches Seminar in Zürich, launching her book “Heiligtümer und Fetische” and was in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Her work and research in Japan have been supported by DAAD and Kunststiftung NRW.
